Who We Are

The Tesfa Alliance is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to adoption assistance and education, and relief for the poor and destitute. As our name indicates, the Tesfa Alliance maintains a close connection with the country of Ethiopia. The word tesfa means hope in Amharic, the native language of Ethiopia. We believe that hope can only truly come from Jesus Christ and his work on the cross (1 Peter 1:3), and that as Christians we are called to love the poor, the fatherless and the widow (Psalm 82:3).

The Tesfa Alliance was started in 2008, and maintains offices in Louisville, KY. It is run by a board of directors and funded entirely by private donations.
